Learn about Denis Sullivan
While Denis Sullivan is a bit younger than her “sister ship” Roseway, she still has quite the story to tell. Built in 2000, she has spent the past two decades educating hundreds of students about Great Lakes schooners and maritime history. Now, World Ocean School is thrilled to be able to take this beloved ship on a new voyage in Boston and St. Croix.
The History of Denis Sullivan
The Wisconsin Lake Schooner Education Association (WLSEA) plans the Denis Sullivan to educate about Great Lakes schooners.
The Denis Sullivan receives her Certificate of Inspection as a Sailing School Vessel and starts the voyage to St. Croix.
Denis Sullivan hosts hundreds of St. Croix children, as well as the St. Croix community, throughout the winter season before beginning her transit back up to Boston.
