Summer Ambassador Program (Day 7)

Off the coast of Connecticut

The time on Denis Sullivan was quite fun. The jobs, new people I’m meeting are nice. Doing dishes, helping whoever, whenever, and wherever. We also took a visit to Fort Trumbull. It was pretty interesting to learn about sonar technology and how the fort was built. Overall, I’d say the boat is pretty good so far.

Sailing aboard the Denis Sullivan has been incredible. I love boating and the ocean and always have. So being here doing this is like a dream come true. Everything from learning to coil rope to taking bearings during anchor watch to going aloft in the rigging has been fun and engaging and eye-opening. I have loved every minute of this voyage and I’m so glad to be here.
