Summer Ambassador Program (Day 6)

New London, CT

The first day was definitely a little weird as I had never sailed before but I quickly got used to the rockiness of the ship and just being on water in general. Besides the fact of being hot and tired I really enjoyed learning about the sails and different coils; working coil, and the balentine. Also how to do different knots. at first I thought I was going to have a hard time falling asleep but it was surprisingly not due to all of the activities we did throughout the day that tired me out. We’re now on day six and I’m enjoying my time on the boat, minus my terrible sunburn!

Day 1-2 was rough, it was the first two days so it was just getting settled in. I was just getting settled in so I was really tired. 

Day 3-4 was more fun the crew were nice and kept us entertained. I think we went swimming I’m not sure, but it was fun and I started to get used to the routine.

Day 5-6 more of the same you know but was still fun. I forgot to mention most of the time we get to sleep on deck and it’s really fun. They also let us watch a movie so that was great! 

We’re on day 6 so we’ll see how that goes.
