Summer Ambassador Program (Day 5)

Off the coast of Rhode Island

August 6th, 2023

I hate getting seasick but my friends are there to help me. I’ve learned about knot tying and how to set sail. It’s super hot but I’m glad we had a swim call yesterday. I’ve seen a shark and seals but I’m hoping to see a whale. Last night on anchor watch I saw bioluminescence. If was really cool. I’ve also seen krill and moon jellyfish. Squid are the only thing I really want to see other than whales.

The boat is great but it is very hot out. The waves make almost everything hard, but at night the waves are calm it’s not hot out it just feels perfect. For the last three nights I’ve been sleeping out on deck with everyone else. One of my friends Kai thought of names for all the crew members, it’s so funny. He’s on anchor watch with me along with Ace. There’s one last thing I want to write about, we had swim call yesterday it was very fun. Almost everyone passed the swim test, the salt water tasted horrible though.
