Walk the Plank

On Thursday, August 17th, come watch the top fundraisers take the plunge into Boston Harbor from the plank of our newest schooner, Denis Sullivan! Leading up to the event, our volunteer jumpers are competing in a real-time donation leaderboard to see who can raise the most money for our life-changing student programs. Get your tickets for the event today to join in on the fun!

We’re thrilled to announce that Lenny DiNardo, a 2004 World Series Championship Red Sox team member, will join us for Walk the Plank!

DiNardo, whom you may recognize as an in-studio analyst at NESN, played for the Red Sox from 2004-2006 and was part of the team that helped “break the curse” and bring the championship home for the team for the first time in 86 years.

We’re thrilled to have Lenny walk alongside our fundraisers and support our transformative programs, like our currently running Summer Ambassador Program, here at World Ocean School!

Your donations are the wind in our sails.

For Our Students

“I learned that there’s more than one way to contribute and that anyone can help the group.”

— Ivy, Christa McAuliffe Charter School

For Our Teachers

“It reinforces what I teach in the classroom. The real world application is really a plus because they actually get to live it. It’s that ‘textbook meets real world.’”

— Zahra O’Reilly-Bates, 4th Grade Teacher

For Our Crew

“I’ve grown so much as a mariner but also grown in confidence as a leader. I never thought I’d ever end up in a mates position. It’s pretty special.”

— Susanna Larsen, Former Roseway Crew

For The Parents

“Socially, she is braver at reaching out to new acquaintances and creating friends. Academically, she has enhanced focus on doing really well to achieve her academic goals.”

— Parent of Summer Ambassador Program Alumni
