St. Croix, USVI

We got to explore the city of Christiansted, we tried a local restaurant called Courtyard, where we tried acai bowls. We visited a souvenir shop and visited the local national monument! Everything has been so exciting so far and I have loved seeing all these new things!

We arrived to Saint Croix and it was very hot compared to Charleston! I love it though and it felt really nice as we explored the town! We had ice cream and got some fun shirts and bracelets!

We all woke up at 2:00 am to be at the airport at 3 am. We had an enjoyable morning in the airport eating chick-fil-a before the sun came up. I braided 5 people's hair in between our flights. Once we arrived in Christiansted the weather was beautiful and we had a few hours to enjoy the town before getting on the boat.

When we first landed in St. Croix, I was just thinking of Perrin and her uneasiness with the landing, since the landing was shaky and a bit rough. When we finally stepped foot off the plane, an instant wave of head hit us all, relieving us from the chilly plane. All I could think about is how blue and clear the water appeared, and I couldn't wait to get closer.

I made it through both flights! Caroline and Garnet helped me through. When we got here it was so hot. We got to explore the town. It was fun. When we got back, we set up our beds. Then had dinner. It was really good. Can't wait for tomorrow!

After our long journey of traveling, we are finally on the ship. I'm super excited to see what this trip will bring. We are getting used to our environment and ready to take on the challenge.
