We started off the day going to the beach on St. Thomas which was very close to where we were anchored while a mechanic aboard came to work on our generator. We stayed for a couple of hours before coming back to the ship for lunch, which was delicious (as usual). We then set sail for St. John! Among light rain showers and multiple beautiful rainbows, we worked through our rotation shifts and arrived at the harbor at St. John as the sun was setting and therefore had to take down the sails in the dark. After all of the sails had been taken down, we were told by our captain to sit quietly as the crew anchored the ship. While we were waiting, we played telephone to keep ourselves busy while waiting for the anchor to be dropped and finally be able to eat dinner. Dinner was just as delicious and a great time for us to be able to just hangout and talk as a group as we have gotten so close to each other throughout the past couple of days so far. As we finish dinner, we look forward to an evening of games as we await the start of the new year out on the ocean.

We went to St. Thomas yesterday because of plan changes. At first a few people were sad and a bit disappointed that we weren't going to Culebrita. Which I was too, but yesterday when we were underway here I found myself accepting and going with the wind in our sails which is something I'll take with me when I leave the boat. And really believe that everyone should just at times accept that not everything will always go to plan and that's cool beans man!
