Inly School aboard Roseway: 7th Grade Day 2

7:00: Wake up time. Got ready and brushed my teeth on deck before breakfast. We did the morning chores like washing the deck, cleaned the heads, and used the fire hose to wash down the deck.

8:00: Had breakfast, which was pancakes, potatoes, caramelized apples, and bacon. Very good.

8:45: Cleaned the dishes, tough to clean thoroughly because the batter was sticking to all the dishes and kitchen utensils.

9:15: Raised the sails in watches and coiled the lines. Started raining.

10:00: Seamanship, R&R, and Active Watch. Was supposed to be learning about sail points but got distracted by singing and learning sea shanties. We went outside and looked at the sail points of the Roseway and tried to figure out the depth of where we were.

12:00: Had lunch, which was rice and ham. Also very good. Cleaned up the dishes which was easier than breakfast.

1:00: Climbed the bowsprit with help from crew for R&R. Some of us were scared, but after a little while, everyone was having fun.

2:30: Started active duty. All the watch got to try new things.

4:00: Climbed aloft the ship. It was a lot of fun for everyone.

5:00: Break time. Musical instruments taken out, and a read aloud was started. It was all around a really good time.

6:00: Dinner time. Things like pizza and cheese fries. Again, very good.

6:45: Night chores started, as well as ships log started.

7:25: Ships log finished.

8:00: Salad Bowl.

9:30: Lights out.
