Athens of America! Hub of the universe! Bean town! City on the hill! Cradle of liberty! Boston!

All lovely nicknames of our new home for the next several months. Our sail from Mystic to Boston was a bit chilly and involved dodging many lobster pots but, we were all eager to get to our final stop on our transit after over a month “on the road”. Sailing through the Cape Cod Canal at night was very special and is now a core memory of mine as I grew up going there. Thankfully, we have our beloved ship’s carpenter Sam “Woody” back after he healed for a bit at home returning us to our whole, big happy family once again.

To say the least, living in Boston is a big adjustment from the Caribbean. Luckily, our busy schedule keeps us from longing for the palm trees and crisp tan lines of St. Croix. We’ve been occupied with plenty of maintenance projects, birthdays, and the best event of the season - our dog side event! It feels good to be in a new environment and have a break from Caribbean chronic sweatiness. Also, to be within walking distance of a Sweet Green is a definite perk. We’re all anxiously awaiting for the summer season to kick off and are looking forward to all the new crew, students, and places!

A BIG happy birthday to Capt. Flansburg and dearest Woody!
