No Slowing Down: March in St. Croix

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands

March 2023

Log written by Maddy Sandler, Program Manager

March was our final month of programming in St. Croix this year, and the crew didn't slow down. Including a week-long overnight program with Gifft Hill, Denis Sullivan saw more 6th-grade classes from Pearl B. Larson School and Good Hope Country Day School. We also welcomed a class from Complex High School and the University of the Virgin Islands on board. UVI brought faculty and students from the School of Education and School of Agriculture to shadow our elementary school curriculum and participate in team-building programs. Moving forward, World Ocean School looks forward to collaborating with UVI on multiple projects involving our curriculum and expanding professional development opportunities for both the crew and UVI education students.
