Meet The Board
Shirma Pierre
Shirma Pierre is the Director of Community Health Operations and Projects at the Center for Community Health and Health Equity at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. In this role, she is responsible for the overall non-clinical administration and operational component of the Center including finance, communication, data and evaluation, community relations and special projects. Ms. Pierre leads the Center’s performance improvement efforts and co-lead the community health needs assessment and other regulatory reporting for the hospital. She also works closely with the BWH licensed and affiliated community health centers.
Prior to joining Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2011, she served as the Program Coordinator for Boston Health, working closely with the Boston Medical Center’s licensed and affiliated community health centers. She also served as a project manager in the Boston Public Health Commission’s Office of Public Health Preparedness.
Ms. Pierre holds a Masters in Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health. She serves on the board of the Mission Hill Main and has also served as health committee chair and treasurer of the Boston Branch NAACP and clerk and chair of the Board of Directors of the Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center.
