Our immersive, open-enrollment live-aboard programs for students in grades 8-12 are high-impact, overnight experiences that typically last 7-14 days.

In 2023, students sailed as far as New York City during our Boston International Newcomers Academy (BINcA) program, up to the Isle of Shoals in Maine and New Hampshire during the Sea Challenge with Sail Portsmouth, and visited Vieques and Culebra, Puerto Rico during the Winter Ambassador Program.

Students and crew sail by day and anchor at night, providing opportunities for sail training, activities at anchor, and community service at sites of interest on land and at sea.

Students learn the basics of tall ship sailing and are immersed in marine science, engineering, and maritime history in a supportive and engaging living and learning community.
