Kevin Hughes
Kevin is a new deckhand hailing from Cornwall on Hudson, NY and is currently attending school at Northeast Maritime Institute at Fairhaven, MA. Hoping to get an associates degree in Maritime Science and a 100 ton Captain’s license, Kevin has spent the past year learning as much as possible about navigation rules, meteorology, ship handling and various other skills. With previous sailing experience in the Hudson River and the BVI, Kevin is taking a step onto his first tall ship. While he may be new to the world of these massive sailing vessels, he has no shortage of knowledge on the history of sailors, pirates and privateers of the 1600’s - 1800’s.
