Meet The Team
Fred Eustis
Fred retired in 2018 from a business career that included 15 years in “corporate America”, and the most recent 25 years owning and operating a hardwood chair manufacturing business, Eustis Chair.
Fred grew up in Cambridge, MA, attending Harvard College and Harvard Business School. After several work-related moves around the country, he returned to the Boston area with his wife Lisa and 4 daughters. When the kids left their Andover home of 20 years, Fred and Lisa moved to Cambridge.
Fred’s passion for the World Ocean School grows from a lifelong passion for sailing, and from his exposure to the world of Tall Ships through two of his daughters; Maddy and Elsie each sailed around the world on the 185’ barkentine Concordia, with a program called Class Afloat.
Fred and Lisa live in the Huron Village area of Cambridge, and spend summers at Scraggy Neck on Cape Cod, where they sail their Pearson 35, “Eloise”.
