Meet The Team
Catherine Baum
Catherine grew up in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. She got her degree in history from Bard College in upstate New York. During the past five years, she's worked to expand higher education in prisons, facilitated the distribution of rental assistance to her community, and sold apples at an amazing farm stand. Most importantly, she discovered her excitement for tall ships during her two (and a 1/2) seasons aboard the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater. She loves swimming, hanging out with her friends, and eating Annie's Mac & Cheese. After a long pandemic year of working virtually at her desk, she wanted to be outside and work with students in real time again. Naturally, joining the World Ocean School felt like it was meant to be!
