Boarding the Denis Sullivan today, I was not excited. I could not even believe I would be sleeping on a boat. Right after we left shore, I began to feel uneasy. I was very upset and frustrated with an approaching case of sea sickness. Walking the deck felt like a balancing act. My teachers saw this and with the help of the adults on board provided me with everything I needed. Slowly I found joy in staying on the boat and have felt welcomed by my community.
-Oliver
Today was rather good. We went swimming which was fun but also cold. There was one hour where we were all tossing our cookies but after dramamine we were fine. The food was good. I am excited for bed.
-Rosalie
I got a sunburn on my shoulder. The food is really good. Me, Nora, and Lia played mermaids in the freezing ocean.
-Violet
I felt horribly ill but then I got better. Now I'm s'living. The water was cold but it was fun.
-Anna C.
Today was so much more fun than Red Gate. I'm very proud that I jumped in the freezing water 3 times.
