Thanksgiving on the Sea: Day 7

St. Croix, USVI

11/30/24

Today was really tiring for me because all we did was sail. The water was the choppiest that I’ve experienced so I was a bit seasick but at least I didn’t throw up. We went all the way back to St. Croix, it was a really long trip. I slept for most of the day but for some reason I’m still very exhausted. I steered the ship for a bit at the end of the trip. The sunset was really pretty today and I think I enjoyed that the most.

Today all we did was sail and for some reason that was really tiring. The water kept splashing into the boat and everyone was sleeping on the deck kept getting wet. I finally finished making my turks-head today. It rained a few times and there was this really pretty sunset at the last hour before we arrived back at St. Croix. It’s been a really fun experience overall and I’m glad to have been here!

Today was a very difficult day sailing. Sailing wasn’t the hard part, the waves were. The waves kept throwing us all around making us all sea sick, tired, and made our bodies fatigue. That was the hard part of trip, but I glad we made it to port at decent time. Overall, had a rough day hopefully tomorrow is much better with the Olympics.

Today is the last full day of the trip. We sailed 10 hours from Culebra back to St Croix. I take a decent amount of naps during the afternoon. The sunny weather and the breeze makes me feel tranquil and warm. Also, I learned to sail the Denis Sullivan which was the highlight of my day. I cannot wait to get back to my sweet home.
