Abena Reisewitz-Oteng
Abena Reisewitz-Oteng was born in Santa Cruz, California and spent most of her childhood there. She fell in love with sailing as a student with A+ World Academy onboard the Fullriggeren Sørlandet and hopes to share this love with others through World Ocean School. The Denis Sullivan is her first schooner, but she hopes to have the chance to work on many more ships of every kind. Currently, she is taking a gap year before starting college at Yale next fall. She loves the ocean, adventure, and working with her hands and has found that sailing is the perfect mixture of all three. In her free time she enjoys surfing, sewing, and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to see what this next chapter with World Ocean School and the Denis Sullivan has in store for her!
