Boston Season Comes to a Close

What a day to end the season on! Beautiful breeze, warm temps, bright sun--a glorious day of sailing in Boston harbor. Forty-two fifth-graders from the Jackson School in Newton kicked off our day this morning, capping our final count of students on board this summer to over 800. They had enough energy to keep us on our toes.

This afternoon we sailed the outer harbor for a few hours with a private charter group from Cambridge, enjoying the wind and showing off Roseway to a number of guests who had never been on a sail boat before.

We then had a bitter-sweet cake party on deck--toasting to a successful and progressive season here in Boston, but also feeling sad to see the season end and to be saying goodbye to some of our deckhands.

Next it's off to yard in Gloucester for a few weeks while we get Roseway ready for a new year. She's off to St. Croix come November 5 and there's a lot to do before then. Stay tuned!
