All Hauled Out and Nowhere to Go

Roseway is officially at rest right now--all 260-tons of her hauled out of the water in Gloucester, MA. October is her month in the spa as we call it. In our busy year, this is the four week window where everything big has to get done. This month, she'll get her rig completely re-worked, a few planks replaced, a new exhaust system installed, a new head plumbed, a rejuvenated galley (with hopefully a new stove), new bottom paint, and the list goes on.

New crew are arriving daily, using this month to get their hands dirty and get to know the ship before heading offshore in November and learning how to sail Roseway. While she may be at rest, the yard crew is in full overdrive. By November 1, she'll have to be back in the water at the dock in Boston, loading up with supplies and gear for a whole new season on the high seas!

If you find yourself in Gloucester, we'd love to see you at the Gloucester Marine Railway in Rocky Neck.
