On a beautiful cold clear Friday evening, Roseway dropped lines at Rowes Wharf and headed out to sea. Her route has taken her through the Cape Cod Canal and offshore to Cape Hatteras which she will round sometime on Tuesday. By Thursday she will be in Charleston getting ready to welcome 22 students from the Ashley Hall School on board for the first of three 36 hour programs.
The crew, many of them heading south on their first ever offshore voyage, has been eager and excited for a new season. Also on board is veteran Roseway voyager, Crewman Newman, back for more good times aboard the ship.
