Along with our continuing work with Christa McAuliffe Regional Charter School 8th graders in the afternoons, we had a stellar week with 4th graders from the Haley Pilot School each morning this week. They braved the wet and cold start to the week and finished it out with fantastic sunshine and great sailing making it even harder for them to say goodbye today.
In their reflections, Emma articulated that her experience aboard was "Very interesting, super fun, exciting and all together, Awesome!" They reported their favorite things were climbing the rig, sitting on the bowsprit and meeting the crew. Jovens said that he changed from disliking science to liking science and that he had fun with math on board. Taezhan said that he had so much fun that if he had 1,000,000,000 dollars he would make more Roseways. And many reported the most important things they learned were to trust and work together as a team. We will miss a great group of 4th graders from Haley pilot school.
