Today wrapped up another great week with the rest of the 4th graders from the Haley Pilot School in Roslindale. Mary, Ryan, Julius and Jaison even helped us dock the boat today with great heaving line throws. The entire class was full of energy. They all became eager sailors this week, getting an authentic rainy sailing day in on Wednesday, and while they may have been excited to get back inside and warm up that day, they came back Thursday and Friday grinning from ear to ear and ready for anything. This class even brought us handmade thank you cards, presenting them to us as we said goodbye.
Here's a look at one of the messages from one of our 4th graders:
"Dear Roseway Crew,
Thank you for having me on the Roseway boat, I had fun on the Roseway trip like climbing the rig and raising the sails too. Also, I learned so much from the Roseway trip like trusting people, being respectful to each other too. This was the greatest trip I ever had in the world thank you Roseway crew for having us on the boat."
They all reported they learned so much and had a great time doing it. We are anxious to see how much they remember when they come back to see us in September.
