World Ocean School Welcomes New Port Captain

We are thrilled to announce that we have a new addition to our World Ocean School team. Simon Koch now joins us as Port Captain supporting the logistics and operations of World Ocean School and Roseway in delivering outstanding and safe experiences to our students and clients.

We've known Simon for awhile as he began sailing with us as an offshore Mate and Relief Captain back in 2008. Prior to that, he served as Operational Director and Captain for a variety of sail training vessels based both in the US and overseas. These appointments were highlighted by passages on all oceans and port calls from Barcelona to Bequia to Borneo. Simon has worked with students of diverse age and background and he is committed to promoting education and adventure at sea. He holds a BA in Environmental Studies from Prescott College, a USCG 500 ton Ocean Master License and a British MCA Yachtmaster Ocean ticket. A life long resident of Cape Ann in Massachusetts, he lives with his wife and two boys where they enjoy exploring their local waters together.

Welcome Aboard Simon!
