Wet and Wild Sailing

The trade winds are howling here on the island of St. Croix and Roseway is taking full advantage. Last evening's sunset sail offered up 6-8 foot seas, gusts up to 25 knots, and lots of water coming over the deck. We topped out at 10.1 knots on our way back to the harbor! Despite being a little damp, the guests had a great time. The sunset was dramatic, flying fish were jumping, and Roseway was in her element.

Our students love it too. There's nothing like salt spray in the face to drive home a lesson on wind and waves. It's experiential education at its best.
