We've hit the beautiful southern waters far east of the Bahamas where the air temperature is 80 and the water is reading about 76. While fishing has been underway since we got to the open ocean, nothing has been caught yet. Perhaps we are simply moving too slowly at our fairly consistent 7-8 knots. We've had plenty of seabird sightings.
We're enjoying great food from Rod in the galley and warm water bucket showers on deck. Spirits are high.
After heading east for some time, we finally got the beginnings of the wind-shift we were waiting for and now have begun our transit south. With a bit more of the wind we want, we will make a rhumb line for St. Croix.
Stay tuned for more from our merry little band of sailors at sea.
