Oakwood School: Communication

Today we chose five core values to focus on during our voyage.  The one we focused on today was communication.   We practiced using communication during our daily activities such as tacking.  Communication is a very important part of sailing in multiple ways.  Verbal communication and non-verbal communication are both important.  If someone is feeling sick they should always communicate that to their shipmates.  It is essential for our crew to relay every command the captain gives, so we can thoroughly accomplish what we are doing. Later, we geared up, and snorkeled through the swell  sea. Losing two masks, Dave dives down and rescues the poor masks. Besides this bump in the road, breakfast was eggzelent. This has only been our first full and exciting day and we have only experienced a taste of what is to come.
