Hometown: Clayton, CA 

School: Humboldt State University

Previous sailing experience: Learned to sail aboard the American Pride and spent four seasons exploring Southern California. Has been working as mate on the twin brigantines Irving Johnson and Exy Johnson.

Previous teaching experience: I started teaching Natural History to kindergartners, and have spent the last four years teaching marine science, sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, and hiking to middle school, high school and college students. 

Hobbies: I enjoy snorkeling, exploring tide pools, hiking, reading, and photography.

Why I’m excited to work for World Ocean School: World Ocean School serves a broad range of students, and regions with a mission that is near and dear to my heart. I am excited to work with some of the best students, with some of the best crew out on the open ocean.
