Holly grew up in Northwest Indiana with her parents and 5 older siblings. She went on to get her B.S. in Marine Science, biology focused, from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. From there she moved back to Indiana to coach high school soccer before making her way to The Bahamas to work at the Cape Eleuthera Institute as the Flats Ecology and Conservation Intern. Holly then moved to Jekyll Island, GA to work as the Marine Debris Americorps Member at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. Combining her love of science and education, Holly came aboard Roseway as an Americorps Deckhand Educator in 2017. She moved out to California to sail for the Los Angeles Maritime Institute aboard American Pride, Exy Johnson, and Irving Johnson before coming back to Roseway in the fall of 2019 to be the Marine Science Educator for Ocean Classroom.
Holly loves sports, puzzles, sleeping on deck in her hammock, and any excuse to get in the water.
