Previous sailing experience: I grew up sailing and racing off the coast of Mount Desert Island, Maine. Since getting into Tall Ship Sailing in College, I have sailed off-shore as a student aboard SEA's Corwith Cramer for a transatlantic, and as an instructor aboard the Schooner When and If in the Canadian Maritimes. This past summer, I remained coastal aboard the cutter Frances in Casco Bay.

Previous teaching experience: Before Tall Ship Sailing, I instructed outdoor education at Acadia Leadership Institute on Mount Desert Island, Maine. Since falling in love with Tall Ship Sailing, I have developed programming for High School students for Tall Ships Maine, and have instructed High and Middle School students aboard the When and If and Frances.

Hobbies: Other than sailing, I love to surf, scuba dive, hike, play music, and exercise.

Why I’m excited to work for World Ocean School: I am grateful for all that I have learned through Tall Ship sailing and I want to share my passion and provide similar opportunities to as many young people as possible.
