Hometown: Seattle, WA
School: Yale College, BA in Anthropology
Previous Sailing Experience: I have worked aboard a number of educationally-focused vessels including the schooner Adventuress and yawl Carlyn in the Salish Sea, Soundwaters in Long Island Sound, and the Good Sloop Clearwater on the Hudson River.
Previous teaching experience: Prior to exploring experiential education aboard tall ships, I led the Yale outing club, taking students on outdoor trips as well as teaching outdoor-focused classes and workshops.
Hobbies: I love to make music, hike, climb, read, talk about reading, play bananagrams, eat bananas and other delicious foods, and jump into puddles both large and small.
Why I'm excited to work for WOS: I believe that experiential education is a powerful tool that transforms everyone who participates. I am excited to sail aboard Roseway, expanding the scope of learning and teaching, and helping everyone lean into their growing edges.
