Clio Macrakis

Program Coordinator

Clio discovered the joy of sailing traditionally-rigged wooden vessels as a college senior in a Field Oceanography course and has been pursuing teaching aboard tall ships since. She has a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and coordinated and taught for informal education programs while in school. She particularly enjoys teaching anything related to the oceans, from marine biology to maritime history.

She previously sailed aboard Lady Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland, and is excited to sail on Roseway, another historic schooner, to preserve a historic landmark and learn about sailing and the sea alongside students.

In her free time, Clio enjoys reading science fiction and playing card games. On land, she likes exploring cities and trying new foods.
