Though growing up in the Philadelphia suburbs, Cara's family trips to Cape Cod and her high school experience with SEA aboard SSV Corwith Cramer fostered in her a love of New England, tall ships, and the sea. Her draw to the water brought her to Roger Williams University to pursue a Biology degree, and she found her niche working extensively in the Office of Orientation to welcome students and families, the Community Partnerships Center to coordinate publications of university partnerships with local non-profits, and externally at Save the Bay--Narragansett Bay as an Educator and Aquarist. Immediately upon Commencement, Cara joined World Ocean School as a Deckhand Educator and Program Coordinator, then later returned to the organization as Program Manager. She loves Roseway (and all of her quirks) and is incredibly passionate about shaping programs that are inspiring, challenging, and educationally enlightening for students.
Cara enjoys dancing like nobody's watching, exploring coastlines for local marine life, and spontaneously traveling to unconventional cities.
