Although born and primarily educated in Kentucky, Brit has lived in the Virgin Islands for the last 54 years on the island of St. Croix as an attorney. He is now a mediator and arbitrator. He is a former VI Senator and Vice President of the VI Legislature. Brit and his wife, Kay, enjoy tennis and all water activities, having owned and operated motor vessels for the last 35 years.
Brit has been active in the association of "World Peace through Law," participating in programs in the former Soviet Union and in China. He has been involved in numerous charitable groups and associations, including Fundacion Amistad, proving medical and educational supplies to Cuba's charitable organizations. During the Spring of 2010, Brit taught civil litigation, mediation and arbitration at the Debrecen University Faculty of Business and Law in Hungary.
Eight years ago he crewed on the Roseway from St. Croix to Bermuda and grew to love the grand lady and and wants to help World Ocean School continue.
