School/majors/minors: Boston Day and Evening Academy

Previous sailing experience: Seeing the Roseway sailing on Boston Harbor during the summer has been a staple of my summers for a long time. In 2017 I got the chance to sail with my Boston Day and Evening classmates on a 3 week voyage to Canada and again for a 2 week voyage to New York City in 2018. It was an excellent experience and opened my eyes to what I feel is my future. Since then I have taken every chance I could to volunteer with World Ocean School and sail with friends.

Previous teaching experience: I’ve taught Evolution and Cell Biology as a Teacher’s Assistant at Boston Day and Evening Academy after my graduation.

Hobbies: Besides sailing I enjoy cycling in the city, cooking and trying new cuisine, tabletop and live action role-playing games, watching movies, and playing video games. I’m also into tattoos and the subculture and traditions surrounding them, especially traditional sailing tattoos.

Why I’m excited to work for World Ocean School: I’m excited to give students who, like me, might not have had the chance to sail aboard a ship like Roseway their introduction to the world of tall ships and sailing. I’m also looking forward to starting what I hope is a long career in sailing.
