Previous sailing experience: I grew up sailing a variety of small boats on the Chesapeake Bay and have spent the past few summers teaching beginner sailing courses on Hobie Catamarans and 24 foot keelboats at the Annapolis Sailing School.
Previous teaching experience: After graduating college, I worked at The Outdoor School in Marble Falls, Texas where I taught adventure, science and history classes to children from 4th - 9th grade with a focus on hands-on, experiential learning.
Hobbies: I love hiking, biking, reading, meeting new doggie friends, eating all the cheese, and some gouda puns.
Why I’m excited to work for World Ocean School: I am so excited to combine my passion for experiential learning with my love of sailing! I’m also looking forward to expanding my sailing experience and learning the ropes of the tall ship sailing world.
