World Ocean School is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant at our Boston office to support day to day operations of the organization, as well as the Executive Director and the staff.

  • • Answering phone and email inquiries, processing mail
  • • Fielding details for fee-for-service events and activities aboard Roseway
  • • Customer support for voyage passengers and charters clients
  • • Answer/re-direct web site email inquiries
  • • Assist with Board communications and support
  • • Manage, maintain and update the Donor Perfect database
  • • Manage website, make corrections and updates
  • • Desktop publishing work for fliers, newsletters, etc.
  • • Monthly E-blast coordination and execution
  • • Order boat supplies
  • • Regular updates on social media
  • • Support with merchandise inventories and ordering
  • • Process and enter all contributions, send thank you letters, and maintain the Friends of Roseway
  • • Assist in maintaining and expanding funding sources from individuals, events, foundations, and businesses.
  • • Assist in coordinating, implementing and maintaining the annual giving campaign
  • • Assist in planning and executing events, including charters and day sails
  • • Interface between administration and boat operations
  • • Assist in the administrative aspects of Roseway’s operations (securing dockage, customs clearances, drug testing)
  • • Coordinate the recruitment and employment of crew members
  • • Assist in the administrative aspects of keeping current Roseway’s inspections, licenses, and safety equipment in keeping the vessel compliant with U.S. Coast Guard requirements
